SRM Valliammai Engineering College, a division of the SRM Group of Educational Institutions, was established on 09.09.1999 under the Valliammai Educational Society with the vision “Educate to excel in social transformation,” and has been granted autonomous status by UGC, New Delhi and Anna University, Chennai.

Approved by AICTE and affiliated with Anna University, the college offers programs in Engineering & Technology, Management, and Computer Applications, including 11 undergraduate and 9 postgraduate courses.

Department of “Electronics and Communication Engineering” was established since inception of the college in the year 1999. National Board of Accreditation (NBA) has accredited the B.E-ECE programme for a period of 3 years. Initially, the annual intake was 60.

The Electrical and Electronics Engineering department of SRM Valliammai Engineering College was started in the year 2001. The Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme is duly approved by the AICTE and affiliated to ANNA University, Chennai.
